How we met and the Engagement
Chris and Paula met at work. Paula had just started and Chris and his friend came up front to introduce themselves to the new girl. They stood up there and talked to her for a little bit and then headed back to the nerd cave. Paula thought Chris was really cute and she finally got the nerve up to ask him to go to lunch one day. They clicked really well at lunch and began going at least once a week. One night Paula invited herself over to his house to watch The Office. They had such a great time that they decided to give going out a try. Not long after they started dating, Paula moved in with Chris. Living together came so natural for the two of them. And Chris’ boys instantly grew attached to her.
On Saturday, July 12th, Chris knew it was the right time to ask Paula to marry him. He snuck out to the Jewelry store as Paula lay in bed with a cold. It wasn't long after he returned before Paula's cell phone buzzed with a new text message. It was from Chris and it was the sweetest text ever. The very last line read "I can’t see making you wait another moment." As Paula read this, in walked Chris from the other room. He told Paula she might want to sit up for this. At that moment Chris got down on one knee by the bed and asked Paula to marry him as he displayed the gorgeous ring. Paula was so thrilled that she cried and sobbed and shook her head yes because she could not speak all the while hugging Chris. Chris finally asked for an audible yes and she replied “YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!”
